During any diving operation, a reserve boat with a fully equipped reserve diver must be positioned downwind and/or downstream and remain available until all dives have been completed.
Diving to depths greater than 60 feet will not occur unless a two-person/two-compartment recompression chamber is installed on site and all ancillary backup installations and equipment for that chamber are fully operational.
Decompression tables
Used by any diving contractor, must be internationally recognized and approved for use by Saudi Aramco. No decompression table may be modified by any person without the express consent of the authority responsible for issuing and compiling the table. Oxygen should not be used in water except for decompression purposes (maximum depth 30 FSV).
For surface decompression of mixed gas targets, pure oxygen will be allowed to a maximum depth of 30 FSVT and 50 percent oxygen will be allowed up to 90 FSVT (job site for Ukrainian sailors).
No therapeutic table may be modified by any person without the express approval of the authority responsible for issuing and compiling the table or the dive director who has accepted responsibility for therapeutic treatment, after consultation with an occupational medicine specialist or other body recognized as an expert in Occupational Medicine Saudi Aramco. The use of helium-oxygen mixtures in therapeutic treatment will be permitted provided that the treatment tables are internationally recognized and approved for use by a representative of Saudi Aramco
In the event of an accident/incident involving a diver, all diving operations at that partial dive site cease (this decision also applies in the case of any diver requiring therapeutic treatment). Operations will not resume until the cause of the accident/incident has been determined and corrective measures have been taken to prevent recurrence or, in the case of therapeutic decompression treatment, until that treatment has been successfully applied or further treatment will not be necessary (vacancy site for Ukrainian sailors).
The resumption of diving operations begins only with the written consent of the Saudi Aramco diving representative.
