The Master shall ensure that the Deck Log Book is completed and signed correctly by the officer of the watch and he shall also sign on each page. All deck log books must be kept onboard for at least three years. It is recommended that old deck log books should be kept onboard all the time. VesselFinder soft can be useful during navigation.
Whilst in port and where applicable, the following shall be complied with and entries made as appropriate.
Weather to be entered twice daily
Decks Illuminated
Moorings Tended
.Gangway and Safety net out
Scuppers Plugged when required
Deck watch maintained.
