When drilling in the port, as many lifeboats as possible should be cleaned, weathered and lowered. Each lifeboat must be lowered with its assigned crew on board and maneuver in the water once every 3 months while drilling the ship. In lifeboats not equipped with engines, the crew must row. You should use every opportunity to check the lifeboat shutdown device where it is installed.
Lifeboats and lifeboats shall normally be lowered when the vessel is near or at anchor with little or no inflow or flow. If there are actual or effective
Forward, such start-up must be carried out in accordance with the message contained in the relevant M.
Instructions for Learning and instructing the board
As soon as possible after joining the ship, but not later than 2 weeks after joining, the crew member must be trained on board the use of life-saving appliances to which he may be called upon to use. As far as possible, this training should include the handling and use of equipment. Basic safety training is required before the ship sails to port. Each crew member must be trained to wear a TPA when wearing a life jacket. Crew members assigned to dive must be trained to wear a suit and provide the opportunity to wear the suit yourself.

If on-board training at maritime zone cannot be provided while using certain life-saving equipment items for practical reasons, the on-board instructions for the use of such the equipment must be fed at the same intervals as the drills. Instructions are available necessary for the provision of survival procedures, including the causes and treatment of first aid hypothermia and the use of liferafts organization of landing and use of survival ships and rescue boats in severe weather and sea conditions.

The SOLAS Tutorial contains instructions and information on life-saving appliances and fire-fighting equipment on board the ship,in addition to information and instructions on survival, exposure to radiation, methods of search and emergency repair of life-saving appliances. Any part of the information contained in the SOLAS textbook may be provided in the form of audiovisual manuals.
The SOLAS Training Manual may be used by an officer or officials responsible for providing appropriate
instructions and can also be used as a source of help and information for each crew member.
A copy of the manual is available to each crew member; a copy is provided for both the office and the crews or in the lounges.
Curricula should be designed in such a way that each subject that can be covered can be included within two months. Frequent short periods of study consideration of a limited number of issues will be more effective than lengthy sessions involving a significant number of subjects.
