The Master of a ship faced with a lack of reception facilities, Chief officer lpg vacancy or reception facilities which are not adequate, for any of these categories of waste should submit directly to the Company appropriate details of the inadequacy.
When possible, it would be helpful to those providing reception facilities if, before making such a report, the Master brought the alleged inadequacy to the attention of the harbour authority or terminal operator concerned. He would then only need to make a report if the problem could not be resolved at the time.
The company will evaluate each report received and, where in its opinion the allegation of inadequate facilities is justified, it will inform the flag state of the alleged inadequacy.
