The engineer on duty must work with any engineer-engineer responsible for on-call maintenance to ensure that the following is properly recorded:
Insulating and bypass machines to be worked on.
b) Adjustment of residual installation for proper and safe operation during the maintenance period.
c) An entry in the engine room log or other relevant document on which the equipment and personnel involved, the measures taken and by whom, to facilitate the work of the engineers and for the record.
d) testing and putting into operation, where necessary, of repaired machines or equipment.
The engineer (vacancies for seafarers) on duty must ensure that any ratings of the engine room that perform maintenance duties are available to assist in the manual operation of the machines in the event of failure of the automatic equipment.
