SAFETY GUARANTEES shall be used at all times while working upwards, overboard or when required to operate at a height of 2 meters above deck anywhere on the ship.
“SANDALS” may not be “worn” on the outside deck or in the engine room. Any person wearing them who comes to work must be instructed to return in appropriate shoes / boots. If this is done repeatedly, it will be registered.
All persons exposed to high noise levels, for example in engine rooms, should wear ear protectors of the type recommended according to the specific circumstances. In general, earplugs are a more effective form of hearing protection.
The use of goggles, such as goggles, etc., should be used during work to prevent the main causes of eye injuries, which:
(a) Infrared rays – gas welding;
(b) Ultraviolet rays – electric welding;
(c) Exposure to chemicals;
(d) Exposure to particles and foreign bodies.
During emergency training, all personnel on board must be properly dressed. “Sandals”, shorts, short-sleeved shirts are not appropriate clothing for emergencies and the danger of burns on exposed skin cannot be overemphasized. Boiler suits usually provide a good measure of protection.

Loose clothing is not used when working on or near machines.
Long hair should have a mechanism.
Securely fastened to prevent confusion with movement
Use protective shoes / boots, gloves.
Personal ornaments, ie large rings, necks or hand chains, etc., are prohibited.
