Functions and Responsibilities
Responsible for the Company Information Technology/ communicatin Systems
(Email, Electronic Fax & Electronic Scanning) and the Marine System / IT Section activities Evaluate, Procure and Implement IT / Communication System projects for the Company and vessels
Provide IT Support and Maintenance in the office and to vessels
Responsible for all Systems running on Company Servers (MS Exchange Email System, Fax, Minolta E-Scanning, etc.) and various Email Systems running onboard vessels
Responsible for Netw ork Management and Administration, and to ens ure the serviceability of all se rvers, gateways, LAN, Computer hardwares and softwares etc.
Responsible for procurement of various types of Pre-paid Inmarsat Telephone
Cards for vessels and office staff.
Collect sea jobs urgent and investigate to crewing process
Responsible for ENO A/D software program installation onboard vessels
Monitor and co-ordinate ships’ hardware and software-related issues with the various vendors
Provide technical advice on purchase of computer hardware and softw are, including upgrades
Source for competitiv e prices for the purchase of hardware, software a nd computer accessories
Budgeting and monitoring of company IT expenses
Assist in any other ad ministrative duties when called upon
