psychological support to a new joiner or a new promotee by a senior over a sustained period of time.
The company recommends mentors for mentees in different ranks as follows:
Mentor Mentee
Master Chief Officer and Chief Cook
Chief Officer All other Deck officers (including Cadets) and Bosun
Chief Engineer Second Engineer
Second Engineer All other Engine Staff (including Cadets)
Bosun All Deck Crew
Chief Cook All Galley Staff
