Standby notification
When non-service personnel are called, they must be clearly informed of the time they actually need to begin work.
Using the watch
When justifying overtime work, the correct and optimal use of man-hours must be taken into account. In this regard, the following should be kept in mind:
On standby (vacancy sites for seafarers)
The helmsman must be assigned appropriate work during his duty period.
Normal Cleaning Responsibilities of a Seafarer
The OS is responsible for maintaining living quarters in common areas such as the mess hall, crew smoking room, common toilets, staircases, common alleys, storage areas, etc.
important note (new vacancies for seafarers);
The team works at a fixed monthly overtime rate. Therefore, the above policy has been prepared only in special circumstances where the crew of any ship has been awarded overtime.
OVERTIME PAYMENT (job sites for seafarers)
Ratings on board ships (unless otherwise stated) are paid a fixed monthly overtime rate. This includes all overtime work. No other overtime pay is paid.
Those who refuse to work overtime are not entitled to this flat allowance. The Master also reserves the right to withdraw this allowance if the results of the assessment are not satisfactory.
In order to qualify for a fixed overtime premium, there is a minimum working time ratings that must be achieved. Although this amount was previously 105 hours for ratings, based on recent requirements and changes, these hours are further reduced to 85 hours of overtime.
